If you’re a marketing agency that offers web design services, you likely understand how daunting the discovery phase of a website project can be.

Many times, your clients don’t have a clear vision of what they want. It’s very important to ask questions that get them thinking about the overall vision and purpose of their website.

At Syzmic, we consider the discovery phase of the website project the most important, and here are a few reasons why.

  • It gives you an opportunity to connect with the client about their business.
  • Doing your due diligence in the discovery phase helps to avoid scope creep. If you’re unfamiliar with scope creep, here’s our earlier blog about what scope creep is and why you should avoid it.
  • This is an opportunity to share your agency’s value proposition.

To help your marketing agency streamline this process, we’ve put together a list of questions to ask when quoting a website project. The questions below cover everything you need to accurately quote a website project.

At Syzmic, we’ve put these questions into an online submission form, making it easy for our customers to complete. If you have a WordPress site, you can create a similar form using a Gravity Forms Plugin. Here’s a quick video showing you how to install it. Feel free to use our template below on your agency’s website.
